Info
Famous for its chimpanzee tracking experiences, Kibale National Park is home to a large population of chimpanzees. Visitors can also explore the park's lush forests, spot other primate species, and enjoy bird watching. Kibale National Park is located in western Uganda and is renowned for its population of habituated chimpanzees. The park's dense forests provide a habitat for 13 primate species, including red colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Chimpanzee trekking allows visitors to observe these intelligent creatures up close, along with other forest inhabitants like birds and butterflies. Nature walks, bird watching, and guided hikes are popular activities in the park. Kibale National Park also offers opportunities to explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for bird lovers and a habitat for various monkey species.
