Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda's most visited national parks, spanning an area of approximately 1,978 square kilometers. It is located in the western region of Uganda and encompasses diverse ecosystems, including savannah grasslands, dense forests, and crater lakes. The park is renowned for its wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. The Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George, offers spectacular boat safaris with opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife and bird species. Visitors can also explore the Kyambura Gorge, known as the "Valley of the Apes," which is home to a population of habituated chimpanzees.
